Ponderosa Stomp
A truly one-of-a-kind event (and a Combo Platter favorite). Celebrating the pioneers of rock, blues, rockabilly, funk, soul, swamp rock, and New Orleans R&B, the Stomp throws a music-lovers party like only New Orleans can. Funded by grassroots efforts and the tireless devotion of the organizers, the Ponderosa Stomp offers a special sponsorship opportunity for the company who supports not just the treasured city itself, but American history, music pioneers, and their loving fans. The Stomp has become a media darling, garnering coverage from the Austin Chronicle to the Wall Street Journal, and special recognition on (E Street Band member) Little Steven’s satellite radio show. The audience is comprised of a diverse mix of music lovers from all generations and walks of life, not to mention the occasional latter-day music legends who were influenced by the performers.
Despite the widespread and well-deserved acclaim, the Stomp’s uniqueness means that it is not the average cookie-cutter music festival that easily attracts sponsors. Therefore, sponsorship and grant funding is being sought in order for it to continue it’s important work of recognizing and revitalizing the careers of many of the most influential artists from the early days of rock & pop music.
