Combo Platter is the professional pseudonym for Amy Vercruysse, an Austin-based expert in B-to-C event marketing and public/consumer event/festival management. She also loves to do other kinds of marketing, including social media, promotions, advertising and media planning. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering, and has done so for causes such as animals and endangered species, musicians’ health, and the arts. A native Texan, she came up with the name Combo Platter because it reflects her love of all things music, marketing, festivals and Tex-Mex. She’s always exploring new opportunities, so get in touch if you need some expertise to lead or join your team.
Testimonials:
“(As a volunteer) Amy has proven to be an innovative and valuable resource for HAAM’s marketing communications and fundraising needs. Her initiative and creativity in devising new and effective methods has been a tremendous asset and I wish we had the budget to hire her! I recommend her enthusiastically.” – Carolyn Schwarz, Executive Director, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians
“Amy brings professionalism and experience to a wide range of production-related roles. Creative concepting, marketing, advertising, sponsorship, and more. Her upbeat personality and focus on accomplishing tasks inspires others to do the same. Music, and bringing music to the people, is clearly a passion!” -Martha Smith, Island Festival
“Amy brought a new level of professionalism to the position of Sponsorship Manager. She set the bar higher than any account manager before her and met it. Her attention to detail and sense of the bigger picture made her contributions to the festival spot on. I would work with Amy on any project.” -Winsor Graves, Production Director, One Reel
“Amy worked with High Beam as an onsite event manager and her skills are first rate. We trusted her with some of our biggest clients and most difficult scenarios, and she did an incredible job each time. I recommend her without hesitation.” -Samantha Staples, President, High Beam Events
“Amy was a delight to work with for many reasons beginning with her delightful personality, professionalism and creativity. Amy always saw the big picture and was forward thinking anticipating solutions to problems/challenges before they occurred. Aside from great conceptual ideas, she really is a diligent worker who produces amazing results quickly with very limited resources. I look forward to working with her again and highly recommend her.” -Jacob Mosler, Co-Founder/Producer, Island Festival
“I had the pleasure of working with Amy on several events in which SFNTC was a sponsor and Amy managed – she was very detailed and organized in her execution and was clear in her communication. Amy once managed one of my trade shows, Natural Products Expo West, for me and displayed originality and creativity and brought class and quality to our exhibit! In addition to Amy’s excellent qualifications, she was always a joy to work with – in the office and in the field.” -Holly Randall, Trade Show Marketing Manager, Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Co.
